An auto-rickshaw driver in Lawngtlai town returned ₹17 lakh forgotten by a Myanmar businessman after a ride.

The businessman left a polythene bag containing the cash in the vehicle. The driver, Lalhmingmuana, found it and returned it promptly without expecting any reward.

C. Zathianga, president of the Lawngtlai Auto Rickshaw Owners’ Association, praised the driver’s honesty.

The community has widely appreciated this noble act.
