‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’: Tripura’s Former CM – Biplab Deb Finds People Ardent In Re-Establishing BJP Government

Agartala, November 23, 2022: In line with the ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ organized by Tripura Pradesh BJP SC Morcha, the former Chief Minister and incumbent Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Wednesday visited Rishi Para under Pratapgarh assembly constituency in the peripheries of Agartala city.

During the visit, Deb was accompanied by Pratapgarh MLA and former Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly (TLA) Rebati Mohan Das, BJP state spokesperson and Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) Deputy Mayor Manika Das Datta along with karyakartas of Yuva Morcha and SC Morcha.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the visit, Rajya Sabha MP Deb said that he had come to this neighbourhood in Pratapgarh assembly constituency to learn about the livelihood condition of the inhabitants after the BJP-led government formed in the state as well as benefits acquired by them through various schemes of central and state governments.

“Following COVID pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government has ensured 5 kilograms of rice per person and inhabitants of Rishi Para are reaping this benefit for the past two years. Similarly, benefits received by the localities on the supply of LPG cylinders under Ujjwala Yojana, free tape water connections under Jal Jeevan Mission, etc.”, he added.

Deb said “Since 1971, the local people of Rishi Para have been staying as temporary slum dwellers as most of them still left to complete their proper government-related documentation for which they are still far away from reaping all benefits provided by the government. However, as soon as the procedures are completed, they will easily get access to all benefits.”

Praising the significant role of BJP-led government, development of state and welfare of people had expedited and increase in per capita income is one of the finest examples.

He also said that the happy expression of people clearly signifies that the inhabitants of Rishi Para in Pratapgarh demand that the government under leadership of PM Modi should return in power as developmental activities have rapid pace.

Former CM also claimed that the MPs, MLAs and leaders will visit each and every hamlet across the state and people will definitely raise the problems which is their fundamental right and also hope that the people should highlight the problems solved and benefits received by them voluntarily.
