Over 214 charter schools in Sikkim are set to participate in a new plastic recycling initiative as part of the Bottles for Change campaign, launched through a partnership between Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd. and the KATALYTIC Charter Educational Foundation (KCEF).

The program aims to promote responsible plastic use and recycling by engaging students in creative reuse activities, including turning plastic waste into art and functional materials. Throughout the year, participating schools will organize awareness sessions, recycling workshops, and community drives to encourage sustainable habits.

A large-scale cleanliness drive will also be conducted, involving students and local communities to reinforce hands-on sustainable practices. Students demonstrating innovative approaches to plastic reuse will be recognized with awards for their environmental contributions.

K. Ganesh, Director–Corporate Affairs at Bisleri International, said the partnership supports the company’s goal of inspiring young minds toward environmental action. Kunzang Choeki, Founder and Director of KCEF, emphasized that the initiative integrates sustainability into everyday learning, enabling students to actively contribute to environmental change.

The program forms part of Bisleri’s broader Greener Promise commitment, which focuses on recycling, water conservation, and eco-conscious community engagement. Bisleri operates 128 plants across India and the UAE and continues to lead industry efforts toward a cleaner and greener future.
