Imphal, Nov 18: JMM leader Kalpana Soren on Sunday criticized BJP leaders for focusing on election campaigns in Jharkhand while ignoring the ongoing crisis in Manipur. Speaking at rallies in Pakur and Giridih, Soren accused the BJP of “wandering” around Jharkhand in an attempt to regain power, but failing to visit Manipur, where tribal women have been reportedly facing atrocities.
Soren also took aim at the BJP’s previous rule in Jharkhand, alleging that the “double-engine” government had only contributed to the state’s stagnation. “BJP leaders have time to campaign in Jharkhand, but not enough to visit Manipur and witness the suffering there,” she remarked.
