The Border Security Force (BSF) seized contraband items worth ₹9.98 lakh on December 17, 2024, during operations in the East Khasi Hills (EKH) and South Garo Hills (SGH) districts of Meghalaya, along the Indo-Bangladesh border.

The seized goods included liquor, blankets, garlic, sugar, and winter clothing. This operation highlights the BSF’s ongoing efforts to prevent smuggling and maintain security along the sensitive border region.
