The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) Secretary, S. Krishnan, reaffirmed the Government of India’s support for strengthening Nagaland’s IT infrastructure and advancing the State’s emerging technology initiatives during a meeting in Kohima on Sunday.
Advisor for Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics, and Evaluation, H. Sethrongkyu Sangtam, briefed the MeitY Secretary on key technology-driven projects aimed at building a future-ready digital governance ecosystem. These include an AI-powered State Data Centre, a State Cyber Security Operations Centre, and NagaChain, a blockchain-based governance framework.
The MeitY Secretary commended Nagaland for its proactive approach in digital innovation and noted that the State’s proposed initiatives align with national priorities on cybersecurity, data governance, and inclusive digital identity frameworks. He emphasised the need for sustained coordination between the Centre and the State to ensure the effective implementation of the proposed initiatives.
