CM Inspects Jiribam Hospital, Assures Staff Policy And Infrastructure Upgrade

Manipur Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh on Saturday inspected the Jiri District Hospital at Ningshingkhul to review its functioning, infrastructure, and overall service delivery.

During the visit, the Chief Minister noted that while the hospital’s services were largely satisfactory, there was a shortage of manpower.

He assured that the state government would soon formulate a comprehensive transfer policy for medical staff to address the issue. He also announced plans to upgrade the doctors’ quarters to improve living conditions for healthcare personnel.

Earlier in the day, the Chief Minister arrived in Jiribam district accompanied by A. Sharda Devi, President of the Manipur BJP, along with party MLAs. The team was warmly received by district officials at the Leingangpokpi Police Outpost.

In a post on X, Singh said the visit was aimed at reviewing the prevailing situation in the district and assessing its developmental needs.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to restoring peace, strengthening communal harmony, and ensuring inclusive and sustainable development, while safeguarding the indigenous culture of the region.
