CM Lalduhoma Attends 15th Mizoram Police Service Association Conference In Aizawl

The Mizoram Police Service Association (MPSA) held its 15th Conference today at G.S. Arya Mess, PHQ, Aizawl, with Chief Minister Lalduhoma as Chief Guest and Home Minister K. Sapdanga as Guest of Honour.

In his address, the Chief Minister lauded the contribution of MPS officers in safeguarding Mizoram and stressed that drug abuse remains the biggest threat to the State, being one major cause of HIV spread. He called for collective efforts to fight the menace, saying it is a struggle for both physical and spiritual wellbeing.

The Chief Minister also highlighted:

Strengthening of Lok Ayukta with an Inquiry Wing where three MPS officers are deputed.

259 constables recruited this year through a fair and transparent process. One of the fairest recruitment ever.

Concern for the health of police personnel, urging officers to balance duty with family wellbeing.

The importance of law as a stronger tool than weapons, and the need to stay updated with legislations.

Commitment to peace and development, which has made Mizoram one of the most peaceful states in India.

On the occasion, the MPSA Bio-Data 2025 was released.

Home Minister K. Sapdanga praised the Mizoram Police for their effective role in maintaining law and order and shared his points to enhance the state police department.

MPSA President Zosangliana expressed gratitude to the Government for continued support, including ₹50 crore for police quarters, new recruitments, and welfare measures. General Secretary Lalmalsawma Hnamte presented the report, and other dignitaries also spoke.
