Chief Minister and Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) president Prem Singh Tamang on Monday thanked the people of Sikkim for re-electing his party and granting it a second consecutive term in the 2024 Assembly elections.
The SKM returned to power with a decisive mandate, winning 31 out of 32 seats in the Sikkim Legislative Assembly. The results were declared on June 2 last year.
Tenzing Norbu Lamtha, the lone opposition MLA from the Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), later joined the SKM, further strengthening the party’s hold in the Assembly.
