The northeastern state of Sikkim today registered 69 fresh new cases, thereby pushing the tally of confirmed cases to 39,537.
The death toll remained unchanged at 458, as no new fatalities were reported in the past 24 hours. Out of 318 samples tested, East Sikkim district registered 45 new cases; followed by 12 in South Sikkim, nine in West Sikkim and 3 in North Sikkim district.
The tiny Himalayan state currently have 253 active COVID-19 cases, while 38,062 persons have recovered from the disease. Besides, the daily COVID-19 positivity rate currently stood at 21.6 per cent.
