Agartala, November 11, 2025: In a landmark achievement for Tripura’s healthcare system, Dhalai District Hospital has become the first district hospital in the state to receive three prestigious national certifications: NQAS (National Quality Assurance Standards), LAQSHYA (Labour Room Quality Improvement Initiative), and MUSQAN (Child-Friendly Hospital Initiative).
The certifications were awarded following a rigorous evaluation conducted by the National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) between September 24 and 26, 2025. The hospital’s performance across all three quality benchmarks reflects its commitment to excellence in patient care and infrastructure.
Dhalai District Hospital scored an impressive 90.21% under NQAS, indicating not only compliance with national standards but also a level of excellence that ensures enhanced patient safety and care. In the LAQSHYA assessment, the hospital achieved scores of 94.48% and 94.27%, affirming its readiness to provide superior maternal and neonatal care. Under the MUSQAN initiative, which focuses on child and adolescent health services, the hospital secured 86.64%, positioning itself as a compassionate and responsive center for pediatric care.
Hospital officials attribute this success to the dedication and hard work of its medical staff, healthcare providers, and support personnel. “This recognition is a testament to the relentless efforts of our entire team,” said a senior hospital administrator. “We are proud to set a new standard for district hospitals in Tripura.”
The triple certification marks a new chapter in Tripura’s healthcare journey, placing Dhalai District Hospital on the national map as a model of quality and compassionate care.
