Gangtok, May 20: Dialysis services at the state-run STNM Hospital in Gangtok have been temporarily suspended due to water contamination following continuous rainfall in the region, an official said on Tuesday.

The suspension began on Monday and the services are expected to resume next week.

In a public notice, hospital authorities stated that the reverse osmosis (RO) purifying system, which supports the dialysis unit, malfunctioned due to the contaminated water supply.
