A delegation of the DMU Students’ Union, accompanied by the president of All Manipur Students’ Union (AMSU) headquarters, called on Chief Minister Yumnam Khemchand Singh at the Secretariat in Imphal.
During the meeting, the delegation extended warm courtesies to the Chief Minister and felicitated him with a traditional Lengyan Fi.
The student representatives also apprised the Chief Minister of several issues concerning student welfare, including matters related to scholarships, the posting of security guards, and the need for further improvement in the overall academic environment.
Responding to their concerns, the Chief Minister appreciated the constructive engagement of the student bodies and assured them that the State Government remains committed to supporting the aspirations of students across Manipur.
He further assured the delegation that the government would make all possible efforts to address the issues raised and continue working towards strengthening a safe, supportive, and progressive academic environment for the youth. Emphasising the importance of students in shaping the future of the state, he stated that their voices and concerns would always receive due attention and priority.
