Agartala, December 4, 2025: A tragic road accident claimed the lives of four students, including one from Tripura, on the Delhi–Lucknow National Highway late Wednesday night. Their car collided head-on with a truck, resulting in instant fatalities at the scene, according to reports.

Among the deceased was Saptarshi Das, son of Sushanta Shekhar Das, a resident of Ramnagar No. 1 Road in Agartala, Tripura. Saptarshi had recently completed his MBBS degree and was undergoing internship. During his school years, he studied at Ravi Shankar Vidyamandir.

Family sources said that upon receiving news of the accident, relatives left for Delhi on Thursday afternoon to bring back Saptarshi’s body. The incident has cast a pall of grief over the Ramnagar locality in Agartala, where neighbors and acquaintances mourn the young doctor’s untimely death.
