Government Auctions 32 Enemy Properties across States Including Four in Tripura

Agartala, January 28, 2026: The Custodian of Enemy Property for India (CEPI), under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, has announced the auction of enemy properties located in various states through an online bidding process. A notification issued by the authority confirmed that the auction will be conducted on January 28, 2026, via the e-auction platform of the government-owned MSTC Ltd.

According to the notification, a total of 32 enemy properties situated in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Port Blair (Andaman & Nicobar Islands), and Tripura will be put up for sale.

In Tripura, four properties located in West Tripura district have been included in the auction list. These sites are situated along the Assam–Agartala road in North Champamura/Briddhanagar and Joynagar areas, falling under Jirania, Khayerpur, and Purba Barjala tehsils.

Prospective bidders must register on the MSTC portal by paying a one-time fee of ₹1,180, valid for one year. In addition, an earnest money deposit (EMD) specific to each property is required to participate. Detailed information regarding property locations, reserve prices, and inspection schedules will be available in the auction catalogue.

The notification further states that successful bidders will be required to deposit 25 percent of the bid amount within 30 days of receiving the acceptance letter, followed by the remaining 75 percent within the next 90 days. Upon full payment, a sale certificate for the property will be issued.
