Dr. Ricky Laishram of the Spastic Society of Manipur, along with members of the Manipur Cerebral Palsy (CP) Football Team, who recently secured the 2nd Runners-up position in the 3rd National CP Football Tournament held in Goa, called on the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan, Imphal, today.

During the interaction, the team members shared their experiences from the tournament and reaffirmed their commitment to promoting sports among differently-abled persons in the state. They also emphasized the need to include disability sports in the State Sports Policy to ensure equal opportunities and institutional support for athletes with disabilities.

Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla congratulated the team for their outstanding performance and commended their dedication to the spirit of inclusive sports. He assured that their concerns and suggestions would be duly considered and encouraged them to continue inspiring others through their perseverance and achievements.
