The 4th edition of the Nagaland 10K Great Hornbill Run was officially inaugurated by Nagaland Governor LaGanesan at the Multi-Discipline Sports Stadium in Sovima, Chumoukedima, on December 9. As a key highlight of the annual Hornbill Festival, the event attracts athletes from Nagaland, across India, and internationally, providing a significant platform for competitive running.

The event is organized by the Nagaland Athletic Association (NAA), in collaboration with the Nagaland Olympic Association, Athletics Federation of India, and the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland. Sponsored by Bank of Baroda, the run offers local athletes the chance to compete with national and international participants, fostering the development of athletic talent in the region.
