Aizawl, Feb 19: The Fourth Session cum Budget Session of the Ninth Mizoram Legislative Assembly began today at the Legislative Assembly House in Aizawl. The session is scheduled to run from February 19th to March 20th, 2025.

In his inaugural address, Mizoram Governor Gen (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), highlighted the importance of the Annual Budget Session, stating that it “is not merely an accounting exercise but reflects the vision of the government for the welfare of its citizens.” He expressed his belief that the discussions and deliberations during the session would pave the way for progress and development for the people of Mizoram.

This was Governor Singh’s first address to the state assembly, where he outlined various policies and programs being implemented by different departments of the state government.
