Har Ghar Tiranga Spirit Soars as Police Organise Bike Rallies in West, Gomati and South Tripura

Agartala, August 14, 2025: As the nation gears up to celebrate its 79th Independence Day, police administrations across Tripura organized spirited bike rallies on Thursday to promote the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign and inspire patriotism among citizens.

In West Tripura district, a rally was flagged off from West Agartala Police Station in the presence of district’s SP Namit Pathak, Additional SP Dhruba Nath, Sadar SDPO Debaprasad Roy, West Tripura Police Station OC Rana Chatterjee, West Women Police Station OC and other officers.

Addressing the media, SP Pathak said, “Along with the rest of the country, various programmes have been organised in the state to implement the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign with due dignity. From August 13 to August 15, the national flag will be hoisted in every home.” He also reflected on the nation’s journey since independence, noting that “despite 79 years of freedom, various societal challenges remain, and the police are committed to addressing them.”

In Udaipur, the Gomati District Police organized a bike rally from the Police Line Reserve Headquarters, led by SP Dr. Kiran Kumar K, Additional SP Rushikesh Desai, Traffic DSP Abhimunya R Prasad, DSP DIB Shyamal Debbarma and other senior officials. The fifty-bike rally passed through Matabari via Udaipur Central Road and returned to the headquarters. SP Kumar said the initiative was aimed at encouraging residents to display the tricolour at every home, while also spreading traffic awareness.

Meanwhile, in the southern district, the Santirbazar subdivisional Home department’s administration conducted a tricolour rally from the Santirbazar tri-junction to Baikhora police station. The event saw participation from personnel of Santirbazar, Baikhora, Manpathar outpost and Jolaibari outpost police stations. Local leaders including MLA Pramod Reang, Santirbazar Municipal Council Vice-Chairman Satyabrata Saha and social worker Debasish Bhowmik joined the occasion. Subdivisional Police Officer Bapi Debbarma said the rally’s aim was to “inspire residents with patriotism and national pride,” a sentiment that resonated strongly among participants.
