Continuous heavy rainfall in Sikkim has triggered multiple landslides along National Highway 10, severely affecting road connectivity with West Bengal, officials said on Tuesday.
Traffic movement has been halted on several sections of the highway between Sevoke in West Bengal and Rangpo in Sikkim.
Landslides have been reported in Kalimpong district at locations including 29 Mile, Kali Jhora, Seti Jhora, and Melli.
Restoration work is underway, but further progress depends on weather conditions, according to officials.
