A landslide triggered by continuous heavy rainfall on 12 May 2025 caused major damage to the 66/11 kV power sub-station at Sichey, affecting power supply in nearby areas.

According to the Power Department, the landslide occurred around 6:30 PM, severely damaging the 11 kV control room and feeder panels. Sludge and water entered the control room, damaging electrical equipment, the battery system, and building columns.
