Agartala, November 14, 2025: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath on Thursday asserted that defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is “impossible” as long as Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah continue to lead the party. Nath made the remarks after spearheading a massive bike rally in Mohanpur to celebrate the BJP-led NDA’s victory in the Bihar Assembly elections.
More than 1,000 motorbikes took part in the celebratory procession, which drew enthusiastic participation from party workers, women, and youth.
Speaking to the media after the rally, Nath said that the people of Bihar had voted decisively for “development, good governance, and Swadeshi ideology,” while firmly rejecting what he termed as the “jungle raj” of earlier regimes.
“People want development. Nothing is possible without development,” he said, adding that under the Modi government, essential services such as free ration, improved roads, national highways, education, health, drinking water, and electricity have reached every household. He compared Bihar’s past under Lalu Prasad Yadav to Tripura’s situation during the Left Front era, saying both states had witnessed misrule. “Tripura brought change in 2018 by voting against corruption and misgovernance,” he said.
Nath further claimed that the strong leadership of Modi and Shah has transformed India into a globally respected nation, with significant progress in the economy — a development he said is reflected in Bihar’s election results.
Taking a dig at the opposition, Nath said, “CPM is double zero, Congress is almost extinct. Regional parties that stand with Modi ji will also gain the benefits of development.” He asserted that the CPI(M) would not be able to return to power in Tripura and predicted a sweeping BJP victory in West Bengal as well.
“It is impossible to defeat BJP and Modi ji,” he reiterated.
