Dr. Kangabam Romeo Meetei, Director of the Manipur Chapter of the National Adventure Foundation (NAF), has been awarded the prestigious Brigadier Gyan Singh National Adventure Award 2025. The award was presented by Lieutenant General Raman Dhawan, AVSM, VSM, ADC, President of NAF, at YMCA, Delhi, on August 31, 2025.

The award includes a trophy, a citation, and a monetary prize, recognizing Dr. Meetei’s exceptional contributions to adventure sports, mountaineering, and sport climbing in India. With over four decades of experience, he has been instrumental in promoting and developing adventure sports nationwide.

Dr. Meetei currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Teacher Education at Manipur University and as visiting faculty at the National Sports University, Manipur. The honour marks a proud achievement for the State of Manipur.
