Agartala, July 29, 2025: As part of the Union Education Ministry’s Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyay Maha Abhiyan, the foundation stone for a significant hostel project was laid on Tuesday at JB School in Navajoy Reang Para, Nunachhara ADC Village under Mungiakami RD Block of Khowai district. The event was inaugurated by Tripura’s Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma.

The project aims to construct separate hostel buildings for 50 boys and 50 girls, aimed at promoting access to education for students in remote hilly areas. The initiative is expected to significantly benefit students from the tribal communities residing in underserved regions.

Speaking at the event, Minister Bikash Debbarma emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive development through education. “No nation or community can progress without education. That’s why our government is making dedicated efforts to bring the people of remote and hilly areas into the mainstream of education,” he stated.

He further added, “The path to ADC’s development goes through education. If our boys and girls are educated, we can build a strong foundation for the future generation. This hostel will play a crucial role in shaping the educational journey of children in this region.”

The event was also attended by ADC Executive Member Kamal Kalai, Sub-Divisional Administrator Parimal Majumdar and other dignitaries, who echoed the importance of infrastructure development in education for tribal communities.
