Justice M. Sundar was sworn in today as the 10th Chief Justice of the High Court of Manipur. Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, administered the oath of office at a ceremony held in the Darbar Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal.
Justice Sundar, who previously served in the Madras High Court, was appointed by the President of India on September 13, 2025, following the retirement of Justice Kempaiah Somashekar.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Manipur Legislative Assembly, MLAs, judges of the High Court, Chief Secretary, Security Advisor, Director General of Police, senior civil, police, military and judicial officers, along with representatives of Bar Associations.
