Kohima, May 27: A major pipeline burst in the Jotsoma reserve forest area has led to water supply disruptions in Kohima town, with residents expected to face difficulties for the next two to three days. The breakage, attributed to aging infrastructure and increased water flow, occurred late last evening.

Executive Engineer of the Urban Division, Neilhoukholie Chielie, has assured that the Public Health Engineering Department, Urban, is working on a war footing to restore water supply. The department has appealed for cooperation from all residents during the emergency repair period.

Efforts are underway to rectify the situation and minimize the impact on residents.
