Leitlangpui Music Festival 2025 Scheduled For November 13–15 In Lunglei; Preparations Underway

The Working Committee for the Leitlangpui Music Festival (LMF) 2025 held its first meeting on Tuesday at the Lunglei Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall under the chairmanship of Lunglei Deputy Commissioner Navneet Mann.

Chairman Mann called on members to put in earnest efforts to ensure the 2025 festival matches the success of the 2024 edition. A review of last year’s festival, held from November 14 to 16, was presented by Working Committee Secretary and Lunglei Municipal Council CEO Donny Lalruatsanga, highlighting its overall success.

Tourism Department Director and Vice Chairman R. Lalrodingi thanked government departments, event managers, NGOs, media, and the public for their support, while outlining preliminary plans for the upcoming festival.

The Organising Committee, led by Tourism Minister Lalnghinglova Hmar, has scheduled LMF 2025 from November 13 to 15 at Pukpui Kawmzawl, Lunglei. The event will include music and dance performances, craft and food stalls, cultural exhibits, and other entertainment activities.

Financial discussions noted that LMF 2024 received ₹25 lakh from the Ministry of Tourism and ₹10 lakh each from the North Eastern Council and Mizoram Government, totaling ₹45 lakh. Event management was handled by Brighter Co. and BBY Animals under a three-year agreement. For 2025, ₹25 lakh each is expected from the Ministry of Tourism and Mizoram Government. A Sponsorship Committee led by the Tourism Director has been formed to raise additional funds.
