Manipur: DC Bishnupur Flags Off Candidates For Skill Development Programme In Delhi

Bishnupur Deputy Commissioner Pooja Elangbam on Monday flagged off the first batch of selected candidates from the district for the Residential Skill Development Programme for cabin crew placement in Delhi, from Imphal International Airport.

The batch includes 30 Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from Bishnupur district. The training initiative, undertaken under the mentorship of Justice Gita Mittal and sponsored by the Department of Tourism, Government of Manipur, aims to provide essential skills and certifications required to meet recruitment standards of leading airlines, thereby opening up better employment opportunities.

The government will bear the full cost of training and residential accommodation, while the District Administration Bishnupur has covered the travel expenses of the IDP candidates.

In this first batch, 47 candidates from Bishnupur district, including 30 IDPs, have been selected. Altogether, 200 candidates from across Manipur will undergo the training.

Wishing the participants success, DC Pooja Elangbam encouraged them to make the most of the opportunity to build their skills and achieve their career goals. Officials of the District Administration were also present at the airport to see off the candidates.
