In a significant move towards digital governance, the Directorate of Printing and Stationery, Government of Manipur, has officially transitioned to a paperless system for all internal operations, communications, and document management, effective immediately. This initiative is in line with the broader e-Governance mission of the State Government.
According to a circular issued by Ng. Roben Singh, Director of Printing & Stationery, the shift to a paperless environment will not affect the printing of statutory forms, booklets, and other mandated official publications. Instead, it aims to streamline communication, enhance efficiency, and improve coordination between the Directorate and various government departments or institutions requiring printing and publishing services.
The Directorate emphasized that going paperless will promote transparency, accountability, environmental sustainability, and cost-effectiveness while strengthening public service delivery across departments and to the general public.

To facilitate the transition, specific procedures have been outlined:
Departments and offices using the eOffice Manipur system are requested to handle all correspondence with the Directorate exclusively via the eOffice platform.
Departments or individuals not yet on eOffice Manipur are advised to send communications through email to the Directorate’s official address: dir.govtpress-mn@manipur.gov.in.
