The District Administration of Churachandpur today launched the district-level “Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan –cum–Orientation Programme” at the Deputy Commissioner’s Conference Hall, marking a major step towards empowering tribal communities through responsive governance and capacity-building.
The Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, designed to strengthen grassroots governance and align with national programmes such as PM-JANMAN and DAJGUA. The mission seeks to foster community engagement, promote sustainable development, and create a brighter future for the tribal population of the district.
Addressing the gathering, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shri Thangboi Gangte highlighted the transformative potential of the initiative for Churachandpur. He also delivered a detailed presentation, outlining the vision, objectives, and expected impact of the Abhiyan.
The programme aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to serve as effective change leaders, with a focus on the three pillars of convergence, community, and capability. Officials said an orientation programme will soon be held to target key stakeholders, community leaders, and government officers, ensuring wider dissemination of the Abhiyan’s goals, strategies, and best practices across the district.
Today’s launch was attended by Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs), District Level Officers (DLOs), and other government officials.
