Manipur: District Youth Awareness And Leadership Camp Held In Senapati

The District Youth Affairs and Sports Office, Senapati, today organised the District Level Youth Awareness and Leadership Camp 2025–26 at the DRDA Conference Hall, Senapati.

The programme began with the felicitation of Ng. Mary Saza, Presidential Awardee of My Bharat and National Service Scheme Awardee (2022–2023), from Asufii Christian Institute, Punanamei, Mao.

The awareness and leadership camp featured three resource persons — Ngaonii Panii, Sub-Deputy Collector, Senapati; Ng. Mary Saza, Assistant Professor, Department of History, Hill College, Tadubi; and Ng. Ngaorai, District Officer, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Senapati — who spoke on the themes Youth Leadership, Youth’s Vision Towards Viksit Bharat 2027, and Entrepreneurship & Social Enterprise, respectively.

Addressing the session on Youth Leadership, Ngaonii Panii said that youth are the backbone and change-makers of society. He encouraged young people to uphold the legacy of their predecessors while making use of government programmes and schemes for community welfare. He urged them to become rigorous, effective, and selfless leaders equipped with practical leadership skills.

Speaking on Youth’s Vision Towards Viksit Bharat 2027, Ng. Mary Saza emphasised that youth are one of the key pillars of nation-building. She urged participants to take active roles in educating their communities and enhancing their skills for social development. She also shared her personal journey towards receiving the Presidential Award.

In his talk on Entrepreneurship & Social Enterprise, Ng. Ngaorai explained the distinction between business and entrepreneurship, citing both challenges and success stories of entrepreneurs. He highlighted various government schemes available to aspiring entrepreneurs and encouraged youth leaders to work diligently for a brighter future.

Altogether, 59 participants representing 11 registered youth centres — Tadubi, Song Song, TNK, Paomata, Oinam, Oklong, M. Ningthoupham, Makhan, Lakhamai, Rabunamei, and Lairouching — attended the programme. Certificates of participation were distributed to all attendees.
