Ajay Kumar Bhalla has extended his warmest congratulations to noted writer Haobam Nalini on being conferred the prestigious Sahitya Akademi Award 2025 in the Manipuri language category for the short story collection Kanglamdriba Eephut.
In his message, the Governor stated that the honour reflects the richness and vibrancy of Manipuri literature and is a matter of immense pride for the state. He further noted that the award recognises Nalini’s significant contribution to the literary world and will inspire emerging writers to strive for excellence.
The award for Manipuri literature was decided by a jury comprising H. Nani Kumar Singha, Irungbam Basanta Singh, and Mongsatabam Tuleshwari Devi, who served as jury members for the Sahitya Akademi Awards 2025 for the Manipuri language.
‘Kanglamdriba Eephut’, a collection of short stories, has been recognised for its literary excellence and significant contribution to Manipuri literature.
