Imphal, Jan 4: Manipur Governor, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, chaired a security review meeting on Saturday to assess the law and order situation in the state. The meeting, held at Raj Bhavan in Imphal, was attended by senior officials from the police, CRPF, BSF, and Assam Rifles.
Governor Bhalla took stock of the prevailing security conditions, focusing on the border areas, and directed the state Director General of Police (DGP) to prioritize the safety and security of the public. He also urged full cooperation from the Army and paramilitary forces in maintaining law and order across the state.
Present at the meeting were Security Advisor to the Manipur government, Kuldiep Singh, DGP Rajiv Singh, IGAR (South) Maj Gen Ravroop Singh, and senior officers from the CRPF and BSF.
The review follows Bhalla’s recent swearing-in as the 19th Governor of Manipur, marking his first step towards enhancing security in the state.
