Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla on Wednesday paid homage at Heecham Yaicham Pat, Moirangkhom, Imphal, the cremation site of patriot Yubaraj Bir Tikendrajit Singh, who was executed by the British on August 13, 1891.
Accompanied by dignitaries and citizens, the Governor honoured the martyrs who laid down their lives for the dignity of the nation.
He later visited the Temple of Thangal General, where he offered floral tributes and lauded the leader’s pivotal role in Manipur’s freedom struggle.
The Governor urged the youth to emulate the courage and patriotism of these historic figures, underscoring their enduring legacy in shaping the state’s history.
