Manipur Governor Reviews Key Departmental Initiatives

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired a series of departmental review meetings today at the Conference Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal, to assess the progress of various administrative and developmental initiatives undertaken by state departments.

The departments reviewed included Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Services (V&AH), Transport, and the Directorate of Ayush under the Health Services Department. Administrative Secretaries and Directors of the respective departments made detailed presentations highlighting key initiatives and ongoing projects.

During the session, the Secretary of V&AH presented ongoing efforts to conserve the indigenous Manipuri Pony, a cultural and ecological symbol of the state. The Transport Secretary briefed the Governor on the implementation of road safety measures, traffic regulations, and improvements to ensure a smoother transport system. He also discussed the status of infrastructure at District Transport Offices and suggested further upgrades, along with updates on the construction of helipads across multiple districts.

The Director of Ayush delivered a presentation on promoting Ayush as an alternative system of medicine for treating various ailments. He also underscored the importance of strengthening Ayush infrastructure to enhance healthcare delivery and accessibility across Manipur.

Governor Bhalla commended the departments for their efforts and urged officials to continue working towards enhancing departmental efficiency and ensuring maximum benefits for the people of the state.
