Imphal, July 14: The Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, convened a comprehensive review meeting on Monday to assess the status and welfare of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) residing in various relief camps across the state.
The review was held at the Conference Hall of Raj Bhavan, Imphal, and was attended by the Chief Secretary, Deputy Commissioner of Imphal West, and other senior officials of the state administration. The meeting included a detailed presentation on the ongoing efforts to support IDPs, with a focus on enhancing the effectiveness of relief measures.
Officials briefed the Governor on the use of a dedicated IDPs portal developed to streamline the management and monitoring of relief activities. The portal aims to improve coordination and ensure timely delivery of essential public services to displaced individuals.
The Governor emphasized the need for sustained efforts and inter-departmental coordination to address the needs of IDPs and reiterated the government’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to those affected.
