The Government of Manipur today signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and Mission Karmayogi at the Old Secretariat Conference Hall in Imphal, marking a major step towards strengthening public administration and governance in the state.
The MoU establishes a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing the professional competence of Manipur’s civil servants through continuous learning, leveraging technology for an adaptive administrative framework, and fostering a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation. The collaboration also seeks to align Manipur’s administrative reforms with the national vision for a New India.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Secretary highlighted the historic nature of the partnership, stating that the MoU symbolizes the state’s commitment to building a future-ready civil service capable of effectively serving the unique needs of its people.
Through this initiative, Manipur’s civil servants will gain access to the Integrated Government Online Training (iGOT) platform, enabling anytime, anywhere learning to bridge knowledge gaps and equip officials with skills required to meet modern governance challenges. The collaboration is closely aligned with Mission Karmayogi’s vision of creating a civil service rooted in Indian ethos while embracing global competencies.
Expressing gratitude to the visiting dignitaries from the Capacity Building Commission and Mission Karmayogi, the Chief Secretary urged officials to embrace the initiative with sincerity and commitment. He emphasized that its success will depend on effective implementation and regular monitoring to ensure tangible improvements in public service delivery.
