A delegation representing various Hill District Bar Associations met the Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, at Raj Bhavan to apprise him of the challenges faced in conducting judicial proceedings in the hill districts. The delegation cited the lack of adequate judicial infrastructure in several areas and sought the Governor’s intervention to address the issue. Commissioner (Law) also attended the meeting.

The Governor gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation that necessary steps would be taken to resolve the concerns.

In a separate meeting, a delegation from the Tangkhul Naga Long, led by its President, Mr. Sword Vashum, also called on the Governor and submitted a memorandum outlining various pressing issues affecting the community. The Governor assured the delegation that the matters raised would be examined with a solution-oriented approach.
