In a series of coordinated operations, the Manipur Police apprehended 11 individuals affiliated with different factions of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) across Kakching, Imphal East, and Imphal West districts.

In an operation in Kakching District six cadres of the KCP (PWG) were arrested from Bijoypur Mamang Leikai and Makha Leikai. The individuals were identified as Moirangthem Achouba Singh (43), Laishram Manglem Singh (48), Leishangthem Dabalo Singh (37), Leishangthem Momocha Singh (45), Leishangthem Rohit Meitei (23) and Okram Chaoba Singh (44).

In a separate operation in Imphal East district, two active members of the KCP (PWG), allegedly involved in extortion activities targeting the public, private firms, and government offices, were arrested at Mantripukhri Bazar. The arrested individuals were Sanjrambam Luha Meitei (29) and Nongthombam Itombi Meitei (35). Items recovered included two demand letters of the KCP (PWG), sixteen cash receipt notes.

In a separate operation in Imphal West District, three members of the KCP (MFL) faction were intercepted at Thangmeiband Watham Leirak crossing. The arrested individuals were Gotimayum Shridevi Devi alias Deva alias Chinglembi (27), Abujam Manosh Singh alias Apaibi (20) and, Abujam Sunder Singh alias Nanao (28).

Seized items included one 9mm pistol with a magazine, one .32 pistol with a magazine, ten live rounds of ammunition.
