Manipur Police have arrested two active cadres of the banned KCP(PWG) outfit in the Utlou area of Bishnupur district. The arrested individuals, identified as Laitonjam Ramakanta Meitei alias Bothe, 34, from Uyumpok Maning Leikai, Imphal East district, and Thongam Herojit Singh, 38, from Tengdongyan Mayai Leikai, Imphal West district, were allegedly involved in extorting money from the general public and businessmen in the Nambol area to raise funds for the outfit.
Laitonjam Ramakanta Meitei is reportedly a self-styled section commander of KCP(PWG) and has over 15 cadres working under him. The police are currently working to apprehend the remaining cadres.
