Manipur Police have arrested an active member of the Chin Kuki National Defence Force/Army (CKNDF/A), a non-SoO militant group, in connection with multiple unlawful activities. The arrested individual, identified as Ngamkhosat Touthang alias Sasat (38) of B. Ebenezer, Tuibong under Churachandpur Police Station, was apprehended from his residence in Churachandpur district.

According to police, Touthang is wanted in a case involving serious charges such as extortion, kidnapping, weapon smuggling, and drug trafficking, allegedly carried out across the Myanmar border on behalf of the CKNDF/A.

Prior to the arrest, a raid conducted on May 16, 2025, at his hideout led to the recovery of one locally made pistol with three live 9mm rounds and five letterheads bearing the insignia of the CKNDF/A. The police are continuing further investigations into his network and cross-border activities.
