In a significant operation in Manipur, security forces conducted search and area domination exercises in the vulnerable areas of the hill and valley districts. During the search in the Maohing village area, under Kangpokpi Police Station in Kangpokpi District, the forces seized a range of weapons and ammunition. The recovered items include:

1 locally made cannon (Pumpi)

1 double barrel bore gun

1 .303 rifle with magazine

1 locally made 9mm pistol with magazine

2 No. 36 hand grenades (without detonators)

4 live 16 bore rounds

7 blank 7.7 mm rounds.

The operation is part of ongoing efforts by security forces to enhance peace and security in the region.
