Manipur: Senior Officials Conduct Aerial Survey Of Flood-hit Imphal East As State Intensifies Relief Efforts

A high-level team comprising senior officials from the Home Department, Police, and Relief & Disaster Management today conducted an aerial inspection of flood-affected areas in Imphal East district. Utilizing a helicopter for the operation, the team was able to gain a comprehensive view of the worst-hit zones, aiding in the assessment of the extent of damage and identification of urgent needs of the affected residents.

This inspection forms part of the State Government’s multi-pronged strategy to manage and mitigate the impact of the ongoing floods. Authorities are working round-the-clock to coordinate relief and rehabilitation efforts, ensuring timely assistance through essential services such as clean water supply, sanitation, healthcare, and emergency shelter.

In response to the continuous heavy rainfall across Manipur, all Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to remain on high alert and take proactive measures, including prompt relief distribution and clearance of landslides.
