Tangpijol village in Singngat TD Block, Churachandpur District, marked a major stride towards community-led development with the adoption of Tribal Village Vision 2030 and Village Action Plans (VAPs) under the Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan.

Supervised by Samuel T. Lhungdim, SDO/BDO Singngat Sub-Division, the initiative aligns with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, aiming to empower tribal communities through participatory governance and local leadership.

As part of the Adi Sewa Parv, villagers, along with Adi Sathis and Adi Karmayogis, conducted a transect walk to assess resources and infrastructure, engaging in participatory mapping to visualize present conditions and future needs.

The Village Action Plans include proposals for solar street lighting, water bore wells, SHG and Village Authority offices, a community hall, road blacktopping with pucca drainage, public toilets, and a new school building.

The event saw the participation of Rex Lengen, SDC, staff from key departments — PHED, Forest, Medical, ICDS-SW, Education, SHG (MSRLM), PWD, Agriculture, CAF&PD — as well as village chiefs, social workers, and Gram Sabha representatives.

The Adi Karmayogi Abhiyan rollout began yesterday in Muallum and Sumchinvum villages and continued today in Tonzang, signaling a growing wave of grassroots transformation across tribal areas.
