Manipur Police arrested three active cadres of the banned militant outfit PREPAK (Pro) from different locations in Imphal West district, officials said on Wednesday.

The first arrest was made on Sunday, when police apprehended Wangkhem Amarjit Meitei (31) from the vicinity of his residence at Chingmeirong. Based on his disclosure, two more cadres were picked up from their respective homes the same day.

They have been identified as Laishram Pangamba Meitei (31) of Haorang Keirel Makha Leikai and Khangenbam Ricky Meitei alias Yaiphaba (27) of Lamshang Taothong Ayungba Mamang Leikai, both in Imphal West district.

Police further informed that search operations and area domination exercises are ongoing across vulnerable and fringe areas in various districts to maintain law and order.
