A combined team of Manipur Police and Assam Rifles arrested three cadres of the banned militant outfit PREPAK (Pro) from Thoubal Athokpam in Thoubal district. The arrested individuals have been identified as Nambram Indrajit Singh (22), Rajkumar Mohen Sana (21), and Warepam Albert Meitei, also known as Thoi (21).

According to a statement from the Manipur Police Control Room, the trio was involved in extortion activities and the illegal possession of arms.

The team recovered one HE hand grenade, five demand letters of PREPAK (Pro), three mobile phones with SIM cards, and one Honda bike from their possession. Security forces continue to maintain vigilance to curb insurgent activities in the region.
