Manipur: Two Active Members Of Proscribed Outfits Arrested In Imphal East

In a joint operation over the past 24 hours, a combined team of state and central security forces arrested two active members of different proscribed outfits from separate locations in Imphal East district, Manipur.

According to a police report, an active member of the banned Revolutionary People’s Front (RPF)/People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was apprehended near Mayanglambam Lampak in Top Khongnangkhong, under Porompat Police Station. The individual has been identified as Yengkhom Bhogen Singh (50), a resident of Lillong Chajing Awang Leikai, Imphal West. Security forces recovered a mobile handset, a wallet containing Rs. 1,500, and other personal belongings from him.

In a separate operation on the same day, security forces arrested another individual, identified as Pukhrambam Thoiba Singh, also known as Khairakpa (38), an active member of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-MFL). The arrest took place at Mantripukhri Bazar, opposite E-Cube Departmental Store, under Heingang Police Station
