Security forces in Manipur intercepted a Creta car near Daili Village along National Highway-2 under Kangpokpi Police Station on Thursday and seized a large quantity of suspected brown sugar.

During a thorough check of the vehicle, 75 soap cases containing suspected brown sugar—weighing a total of 2.88 kg including the packaging—were found concealed inside.

The contraband was seized on the spot, and two individuals were arrested in connection with the case. The arrested persons have been identified as M. Ngaiyu Vekhe and A. Dahnii Abraham, both residents of Thingba Khullen in Senapati District.
