A woman from Manipur was allegedly assaulted near a park by the Saket District Court on Sunday evening after she protested against inappropriate remarks, Delhi Police said.

The woman, who was walking with friends, faced lewd comments that reportedly escalated into physical violence when she objected. She sustained minor injuries and was treated at Safdarjung Hospital, with preliminary reports indicating a quick recovery.

Delhi Police arrived at the scene, contacted the victim, and are coordinating with her to record a formal statement. Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend the accused.

This incident comes shortly after a case on February 20, where three women from Arunachal Pradesh were subjected to racial slurs in Malviya Nagar. While no physical harm occurred in that case, the confrontation drew widespread attention. The accused couple has been arrested and remanded to 14-day judicial custody. Delhi Police registered cases under sections relating to outraging a woman’s modesty, criminal intimidation, and promoting enmity between groups.
