Imphal, May 31: Leimapokpam Ranjita Devi, Nursing Sister at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat, Manipur, has been honoured with the National Florence Nightingale Award 2025 for her outstanding contribution to patient care.

The award was presented by the President of India, Draupadi Murmu, at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Ranjita is one of 15 nurses across the country recognised for their exceptional service in nursing.

Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh congratulated Ranjita on his official social media handle, stating, “It is a moment of great pride for us that a Meitei woman from Manipur is among those honoured. I wish her continued success in the future.”
